She looks more respectable in that outfit. Her regular skimpy outfit gave me a bad opinion of her when I first saw it.
This is why I think people need to be informed. Her outfit from VII was because Tifa is a monk. And as most people know, monks are mostly men and are seen shirtless. So instead, they opted for what many people presumed to be a “sports bra”. They were polygons. It was hard to tell exactly what they were all wearing until cutscenes. But yes, Tifa’s original design was indeed skimped down, as Nomura admitted, because they’re horny little bastards.
